About me
I’m Victoria Windham
Hi, I’m Victoria Windham. I’m a licensed clinical social worker and addiction specialist. WB Online Therapy is my virtual office in Charlotte, NC, and every session takes place online. I also work with adults in Charleston, SC, and with clients across North and South Carolina. I see adult men and women, couples, and families. Many come to me with anxiety, depression, trauma, codependency, substance use, or other addiction-related struggles. Some feel overwhelmed or cut off from themselves. Some use substances or numbing habits to get through hard feelings. I also help partners and family members of someone living with addiction. Together we work on talking more openly, setting healthier boundaries, and caring for their own well-being.
How I Work
My style is collaborative, compassionate, and honest. I don’t look only at current symptoms. I also consider your relationships, earlier experiences, family system, and nervous system responses. This helps us notice patterns, understand your reactions, and choose changes you can keep. Depending on your needs, I may use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), family systems work, nervous system healing, and inner child and reparenting work. These support online trauma therapy, emotional awareness, and practical ways to handle today’s challenges. I earned my Master of Social Work at Winthrop University. I’m fully licensed as an LISW-CP and LCSW in North Carolina and South Carolina, and as an LCAS in North Carolina. After extensive EMDR training, I received my EMDR-Trained Psychotherapist certificate from the Trauma Therapist Institute, an EMDRIA-approved provider. I see healing like a willow. It stays rooted, yet bends with the wind. There is progress, uncertainty, rest, and new growth. My goal is a warm, respectful, nonjudgmental space where you can speak openly and build a more balanced, authentic, and fulfilling life.
